Role: Teaching Assistant – KS2
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £95-£105 per day (Depending on experience and/or qualifications)
Contract: Long Term Supply – Temporary

Source Supply are currently recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Rotherham, who are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Upper Key Stage 2.

The Role

The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to provide additional support to pupils across Upper KS2, helping them to reach their full potential.

The role will include delivering and supporting Literacy and Numeracy interventions, alongside general classroom assistant duties and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing additional support to pupils in Upper KS2.
• Delivering and supporting targeted Literacy and Numeracy interventions.
• Working with pupils individually and in small groups to help close learning gaps.
• Supporting the class teacher with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.
• Assisting with general classroom duties and responsibilities.
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence and progress.
• Supporting the wider needs of the classroom and school.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of children within the Nursery setting
• Deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Promote children’s social, emotional, language, and physical development
• Support children through play-based learning opportunities
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
• Assist with observations, assessments, and learning records
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times

Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:

• Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
• A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
• Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
• Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
• Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
