SEND Teaching Assistant
Source Supply
Contract: Temporary – Long term Supply
About the role
Source Supply are seeking an outstanding, resilient and determined SEND Teaching Assistant to join a complex Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) to support young learners who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schooling.
Within this setting, classes are small to ensure each learner receives the attention they deserve. The staff offer a safe and supportive space where children feel listened to and respected.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will bring out the best in the pupils, setting them up to achieve great things in later life; this will be achieved through tailored interventions meeting academic, social and emotional needs and encouraging behaviour development.
The teaching staff make pupils and parents a key part of what they do, ensuring everyone works hard to achieve the high expectations for those who attend.
If you are a SEND Teaching Assistant and want to make a difference to someone who needs a positive influence and guidance, please get in touch today.
If you have experience in any of the following roles, we would love to hear from you:
- Sports coach
- Youth worker
- Support worker
- Residential care

Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:
- Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting.
- A nurturing, patient and consistent approach.
- Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
- Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
- Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
