About the role
Source Supply are recruiting on behalf of Cascade for a Teaching Assistant to work in the IR Unit at Hucklow Primary School. The IR Unit supports pupils who require additional behavioural, emotional or learning support to help them access education successfully. The role involves working closely with teachers and other SEN support staff to provide tailored support, promote positive behaviour and encourage social and emotional development. You will also be required to help pupils engage with learning activities in both the unit and mainstream classroom. The Teaching Assistant need to help create a safe and nurturing environment, monitor pupil progress and build positive relationships with children, staff and parents to help support each child’s individual needs.

Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:

• Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
• A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
• Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
• Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
• Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
