About the role
Source Supply are looking to appoint a caring, committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our friendly mainstream primary school in Doncaster. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with special educational needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential within the classroom environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support, adapt resources and implement individual learning strategies. You will need patience, empathy and strong communication skills, along with a proactive and flexible approach to supporting children with a range of needs. Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:
- Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
- A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
- Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
- Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
- Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
