Source Supply are seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to work at an all-age, inclusive SEND provision in Stockton-on-Tees.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support learners with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS), global learning delay (GLD), speech language and communication needs (SLCN) and sensory processing disorders (SPDs).

The staff in school have a shared commitment, ensuring the children are at the centre of everything they do. There is a large importance on collaborative working in order to enrich the students’ lives. This setting offers a varied, exciting and dynamic learning environment, which is stimulating – meeting the needs of the diverse children in school – keeping learning both relevant and fun. There is a focus on promoting independence where possible, along with nourishing social and emotional wellbeing.

Requirements

Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:

• Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting.
• A nurturing, patient and consistent approach.
• Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
• Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
• Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
